The VDA's Experience... incisive, intensive & innovative
It translates Education into Job Vizag Defence Academy was established as a top ranking institute 21 years ago, solely with the aim of helping serious students achieve success in Defence exams by providing the highest quality coaching. The method, content and teaching standards established by the VDA have become synonymous with success in the minds of candidates.
The Performance
OUR RESULTS: Total job selections 8456 and the ranks / positions achieved by our students are pilot officer, acting sub-lieutenant, second lieutenant. Air Craftsmen, Petty Officer etc. As regards the past achievements, the VDA has contributed nearly half of the total selections done for defence since 1994, in Andhra Pradesh which by itself says a lot. Nothing else come close to it.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh was adopted 10+2+3 pattern of education and two year intermediate course was introduced during 1969 – 70, under board of intermediate studies, later renamed as the board of intermediate education. The board came into existence on 16th Jan 1971.
The board is constituted with hon'ble minister of higher education as chairman, secretary, higher education as vice chairman and secretary, board of intermediate education as executive head. Revised Syllabus: (a) Part-I, English (b) Part-II Second language (c) Part-III optional subjects: Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
Pilot Officer, Flying Officer, Flight Lieutenant, Squadron Leader, Wing Commander, Group Captain, Air Commodore, Air Vice-Marshal, Air Marshal, Air Chief Marshal... One day you'll have those wonderful letters before your name.

The Primary course of instruction with Academy pertains to Defence Oriented course such as NDA/CDS (UPSC), NAVEL ENGG (including written and SSB Interview Coaching), ARTIFICER APPRENTICE, DOCK YARD APPRENTICE, NAVY SAILORS, AIRFORCE TECHNICAL / NON TECHNICAL, ARMY, SAINIK, MILITARY SCHOOLS & RIMC.
The secondary course pertains to 2 years Intermediate (MPC) from State Intermediate Board of Education with parallel free coaching for all Defence Jobs.
INTENSIVE JOB COURSES: (YEARLY / HALF YEARLY)
VDA Conducts exclusive Intensive course for entrance of all the above jobs.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITION: Above 60% in Xth or 50% in 10+2 or Equivalent.

Proof of our power lies in the number of VDA students who faced the top ranks and make it in the ARMY, NAVY, AIRFORCE year often year.
Founded in 1994 with the unique Concept of input feeder of all the three Services, this institution has trained about 8456 commissioned and non Commissioned Officers for the Army, Navy and the Air Force. The almuni of this Vizag Defence Academy have made a tremendous contribution towards nation building.

Regardless of their back ground, in the two years we re-cast these young men onto the path of the warrior to meet the challenges of the 21st.
